A stylish filter coffee machine for up to 12 cups

The FKM 1000 is a filter coffee machine in stainless steel and black, designed for households and similar environments such as staff kitchens in offices, B&Bs, and small commercial spaces. It brews up to 12 cups (1.5 litres) of filter coffee into a high-quality glass jug, with a minimum fill of 2 cups.

Touch controls and a large LED display

All operation runs through touch-control sensors on the front panel. The large LED display shows the current time and status indicators for the active function. Buttons cover hour and minute adjustment, start/stop, aroma, start time preselection, and descaling.

Programmable start time

A 24-hour clock with start time preselection lets you prepare the machine in advance and have it begin brewing automatically at a time of your choice. After brewing completes, the preselection resets and must be set again for the next use.

Aroma function for a stronger cup

The dedicated aroma button adjusts the brewing process for a more intense coffee taste. Activate it before starting the brew, and deactivate it by tapping the same button again.

30-minute keep-warm, overheating protection, and drip stop

Once brewing finishes, the heating plate keeps the coffee warm for 30 minutes before switching off automatically. The machine includes overheating protection for safe operation. The filter insert includes an integrated drip stop that ensures clean surfaces.

Removable water tank

The 1.5-litre water tank lifts out of the machine for easy filling, then press it firmly back into place on the appliance.

Filter holder size 1x4

The removable filter holder accepts standard size 1x4 paper filter bags or the included permanent filter.

The FKM 1000 is part of the Sunny breakfast series, which also includes the WK 3000 water kettle and TO 850 toaster.

Suitable

The FKM 1000 is intended for use in households and similar environments: home kitchens, staff kitchens in shops and offices, agricultural holdings, and by guests in hotels, motels, and B&Bs. It is not suitable for commercial use.

Cleaning

Always unplug the machine and let it cool down before cleaning. Wipe the housing with a soft damp cloth (a microfibre cloth with a little detergent works well). Clean the water tank, glass jug, filter insert, permanent filter, and other accessories with warm water and some detergent. Occasionally check the openings of the brewing shower for dirt, using a pointed object such as a wooden toothpick to clear any blockages. Also check the spring and seals at the bottom of the water tank and on the filter insert for free movement. Never immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water. Never use a steam cleaner on the machine or its parts.

Descaling

The machine has a built-in descaling programme. Descaling is recommended after 50 to 60 brewing cycles, or at least every 4 weeks. Signs that descaling is needed include longer brewing times, louder operation noise, or residual water remaining in the tank. The programme runs through three phases (initial flush, 30-minute soak, final flush) and takes approximately 45 minutes. After descaling, run 2–3 full water cycles using the maximum filling quantity (12 cups) of cold water to rinse out any residues.
